better support for remote snapshots

Postby Thomas Mahler » Tue Aug 24, 2004 1:33 pm

I'm profiling several Appservers on remote Linux boxes from an XP developer Workstation.

Connecting to the remote machines works great so far.
Only problem: the snapshots are written into the filesystem of the application server.
So I have to scp them from the linux box to the local machine before I can open the snapshots in YJP.

I'd like to see a feature that allows me to open remote snapshots (or copy them to my local machine) transaparently.
This will be a great enhancement for the workflow if working with remote machines.

cheers,
thomas

This feature is planned to version 3.1. Secure transfer is the only implementation problem.

Just wanted to followup that this would indeed be a very useful feature.

I'm sorry, this will be implemented in version after 3.1.
