Yourkit Java Profiling for JVM

Post by selva »

I follow the Enabling profiling manually for Yourkit Java Profiling for JVM

I am using Ubuntu, x86, 64-bit Java, I am using the following code java -agentpath:/bin/linux-x86-64/libyjpagent.so

I am getting an error:

[YourKit Java Profiler 2015 build 15078] Log file: /root/.yjp/log/java-5672.log
Usage: java [-options] class [args...]
(to execute a class)
or java [-options] -jar jarfile [args...]
(to execute a jar file)
where options include:
-d32 use a 32-bit data model if available
-d64 use a 64-bit data model if available
-server to select the "server" VM
-zero to select the "zero" VM
-jamvm to select the "jamvm" VM
-avian to select the "avian" VM
-dcevm to select the "dcevm" VM
The default VM is server,
because you are running on a server-class machine.

You didn't even carefully read the instructions. They suggested you run "java -agentpath:... -version" to check the agent can load, you did "java -agentpath:.." instead.
