Horizontal scroll on mac

Post by cozmic »

I use yourkit 12.0.5 on a Macbook pro, and am wondering if there are any plans to add support for horizontal scrolling using the mac's trackpad? Yourkit provides a lot of views where horizontal scrolling is essential, and I find it frustrating not to be able to use the track-pad gestures that work in most other apps.

Hi,

We'll investigate this issue. Anyway, please note that YourKit Java Profiler is a Java application, and we can work only with those input events which are provided by exiting JVMs.

Do you have other Java UI applications? Does the scrolling work for them?

Best regards,
Anton

IntelliJ IDEA and IntelliJ AppCode are fine examples of java apps that are well integrated in Os X – they support native scrolling and even pinch zooming and similar gestures.

Looking around at some other Java UI's I use semi-regularly: Netbeans supports horizontal scrolling with the trackpad (Netbeans is open source so you can find out which events they are using from the source.) Eclipse supports it too. Neither of them have pinch zoom support.

+1 to this issue. It's quite annoying that you can't scroll horizontally
