Hi,
We have a legacy app that has been running for 8 years on java 5 and because of business reasons cannot be updated to a later version of java. I am using 8.0.24 and have a current licence that includes the latest version of yourkit 2014.
I am profiling a remote linux application running on an OC4J server. I would like to set up automatic profiling to a different server and not on the OC4J server where the yourkit libyagent.so is located?
Thanks
Mohammed

Hi Mohammed
The subject is "Setting snapshot directory for yourkit 8.0.24". Later you mention the agent library location (?) which has nothing to do with the snapshot directory.
I'm afraid I do not understand your question. Could you please clarify.
Best regards,
Anton

Thanks for the reply.
I found that when I took a snapshot that the snapshot was saved on the remote application server that had OC4J on it. It is a unix server and the snapshot directory is: /home/oracle/Snapshot. This was not setup by myself as I thought snapshots would be saved locally.
