Hi,
We have a legacy app that has been running for 8 years on java 5 and because of business reasons cannot be updated to a later version of java. I am using 8.0.24 and have a current licence that includes the latest version of yourkit 2014.
I am profiling a remote linux application running on an OC4J server. This is my first project with the yourkit profiler and I would like to understand if there is anyway I could use a later version of the yourkit profiler. I have found that snapshots taken with 8.0.24 can be viewed with yourkit 2013 build 13086.
Thanks
Mohammed

Re: Legacy app using Java 5
Hi Mohammed
Best regards,
Anton
Please use the latest 8.0.x build 8.0.30 instead.snapshots taken with 8.0.24
You can open version 8 snapshots in newer UI, and this may be a good thing because you get access to newer and better features. However, please note that some information from an older version snapshot may be ignored when loading it with a newer version of the UI. In this case open the snapshot in the version which created it.can be viewed with yourkit 2013 build 13086
Best regards,
Anton
