Profiling subordinate app pool
Hi, I am trying to do some profiling of an app that running on an IIS hosted site. It's not running .NET 4 so IIS has to be restarted in order for YourKit to work properly. This is working fine for the "DefaultAppPool" however my site of course has it's own app pool, but it's w3wp.exe PID shows up as 'Started without profiler" even after letting yourkit restart the server. The only w3wp.ext/PID that shows up as "Ready for Profiling" is the one that corresponds to the 'Default App Pool"

Hi,
What are the properties of your pool?
Best regards,
Anton

An update:
Which version of the profiler do you use?
If the latest version 8, please try to use "Profile | All .NET Processes That Will Start" and then manually restart the service, i.e. to ensure the w3wp.ext processes restart after applying the action.
Does it work for you?
