Problem openikng yourkit 3.0 (330) with Win 2000 server

Post by rkarthikeyan »

Hello

I just installed the 3.0 build 330 on the win 2k server. Once I installed it and when I start the application, it just disappears after the agreement page. When I delete the logs and the agreement files, and then launch the application again - it disappears after I click 'I Agree' again.

When I check the logs, I just see this. There is not enough information that I can get-----

I tried the same with my XP machine and I was able to bring the application up. Then again, I was not able to connect to the ASP.NET application that is running on the win 2k box.

Am I doing anything silly here? Kindly help.

Can you find hs_err_pid<PID>.log file in the profiler installation directory? Please send this crash log to support(at)yourkit.com

Please try launching the profiler UI manually via a command line in a console:

> cd <profiler installation directory>
> jre\bin\java.exe -Xmx512m -jar lib\yjp.jar

If there are error messages printed to console, could you please send them at support(at)yourkit.com

Thank you.

There is a problem loading the profiler *.dll - it lacks some dependent library. This must be a Windows 2000 specific problem.

Currently we're investigating. I hope we'll be able to find a solution by the end of this week.

Hello,

Please try build 334: http://www.yourkit.com/dotnet/eap/

It should work on Windows 2000.

But when I try to enable the profiler, I see "Cannot access the REgistry".

Could you please post the exception which you get with the newest version (the error cannot be absolutely same), as well as the logs (more debug information should be printed than in the previous build).

Thank you in advance.

Your feedback is very useful for us, because this problem doesn't reproduce on our system.

This problem should be fixed in the next build. Please confirm that this issue is solved when the build is available.
