Agent slows very much the process.

I launched my webapp using the - agentPath parameter in order to connect with YKP and profile it.
I hovewer noticed that, also if I don't start YKP, the process is slowered down very very much (I've a background process which usually take 20 minutes and with the agent connected takes more than 150 minutes).
Is it normal ?
Can be avoided in some way ?

Which version of the profiler do you use?

What is the platform?

Which startup options did you specify?

Is it SE or EE application? If latter please use the EE server integration wizard. It offers recommended options.

I'm using 2013 version build 13088.
The platform is Windows 2008 R2.
No specific options only -agentPath.
It's a Tomcat based servlet application.

Version 2013 is not supported any longer.
Please use version 2014 instead.

It will offer startup options to control the overhead.
