Issue with yourkit profiler - connecting to remote applicati

Post by naga.sandhya »

I am trying to connect to yourkit profiler. steps followed:-
App Server - Tomcat hosted in linux servers
Added server parameters in properties file for attaching yourkit
launched the profiler UI from my mac - both the versions in mac and app server(linux) are of same version

When i tried to connect to the PID which was listed in ykit available processes to profile in remote connection window... getting the below error and unable to profile

"There's no application running at localhost with profiler agent configured to listen on port 10001 or profiler agent is incompatible with current version of profiler"

Anyone has any inputs for overcoming this issue and proceed

In particular:
Added server parameters in properties file for attaching yourkit
Has the agent log file been created on the remote machine?
When i tried to connect to the PID which was listed in ykit available processes to profile in remote connection window
What is the color of the circle to the left of the item: orange or green? Green means that the agent has loaded. Orange means that the agent has not loaded (i.e. "added server parameters" step failed for some reason), and clicking this item would involve attaching the agent to a running JVM, i.e. using the attach mode: https://www.yourkit.com/docs/java/help/attach_agent.jsp
