We created software which automatically invokes the yourkit profiler to generate a snapshot each night at 0:00. This works most of the time, but sometimes (once every three days or so) the entire VM freezes up (Ctrl-C does not work).
I am using yjp-2.5-build309 with jdk1.4.2. The generated files are about 8 meg and there is no out of memory problem.
Is this a familiar problem for you?

As a fellow software developer, I can understand your remark. However, when I have to pay for this newer release then it is another story.
Is there a way to upgrade without paying a fee in this case?
