Completing MyEclipse 8.5-2013 plugin installation

Install the plugin

If you already have installed the plugin from the YourKit Java Profiler version you use (i.e. having the same update site URL - see below), just make sure it is up to date: use Help | MyEclipse Configuration Center | Software... in MyEclipse's main menu.

  • Use Help | MyEclipse Configuration Center in MyEclipse's main menu:

  • Switch to Software and press "Add Site" button:

  • Copy appropriate URL:

    Profiler version URL
    YourKit Java Profiler 2019.1 https://www.yourkit.com/download/yjp2019_1_for_eclipse/
    YourKit Java Profiler 2018.04 https://www.yourkit.com/download/yjp2018_04_for_eclipse/
    YourKit Java Profiler 2017.02 https://www.yourkit.com/download/yjp2017_02_for_eclipse/
    YourKit Java Profiler 2016.02 https://www.yourkit.com/download/yjp2016_for_eclipse/
    YourKit Java Profiler 2015 https://www.yourkit.com/download/yjp2015_for_eclipse/
    YourKit Java Profiler 2014 https://www.yourkit.com/download/yjp2014_for_eclipse/

... and paste it to the "URL" field.

Please also specify arbitrary name for the update site, e.g. "YourKit":

Important: MyEclipse update manager needs the Internet access. If your computer sits behind a proxy server, you will need to configure MyEclipse accordingly: use Window | Preferences in MyEclipse's main menu, select General -> Network Connections and enter the host name or IP and port of your proxy server.

If there is no Internet access, use the bundled update site archive:
    <Profiler Installation Directory>/lib/eclipse-plugin/yjp<version>_for_eclipse.zip

  • In pop-up, press "Add to Profile...":

  • Press "Apply 1 change...":

  • Accept the license and press "Next":

  • Restart MyEclipse as suggested.

Check that the plugin is successfully installed

After restarting MyEclipse, you should see Profile action in the toolbar:
