Academic
Academic license is granted to accredited academic institution: public or private school, vocational school, correspondence school, junior college, university, scientific or technical institution. Academic license does not allow commercial use.
The installed copies of the software can be used only by students, faculty or staff of the academic institution to which the license was granted.

Licensing policy:
The license allows you to run the purchased version of YourKit Java Profiler on any supported platform,
i.e. Windows, Linux,
The license allows you to use the purchased version of YourKit Java Profiler without a time limitation
The license allows you to enable profiling in any number of Java applications simultaneously, i.e. run them with the profiler agent
The license is non-transferable. A registered user is not allowed to transfer the license to other users.
Support renewal and upgrade policy:
Purchasers of YourKit Java Profiler licenses will receive at no additional cost all bug-fix updates and all further versions released within one year of the date of purchase. Upgrades after the one-year period will be available at a reduced rate (40% discount off the new license price at the moment of upgrade).
Upgrade to version 12:
Version 12 was released on December 3, 2012.
Upgrade to version 12 is free if you have purchased license (either new or upgrade) after December 3, 2011. If you qualify for the free upgrade, simply use your existing license key(s) with the new version.
If you have purchased licenses on December 3, 2011 or earlier, you are eligible to upgrade to YourKit Java Profiler 12 with 40% discount off the price of YourKit Java Profiler 12 license at the moment of upgrade. Please contact sales and provide your purchase order number.
Please note that if you purchase an upgrade to version 12, you will have the right to upgrade for free to any versions released within one year after upgrade purchase.
